Distribution by Air, a domestic and international freight forwarder, is seeking a candidate for Customer Service. The position of Customer Service will be based in the Atlanta, GA area and will serve as the key point of contact between our company and our customers.
Job Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Excellent phone etiquette
- Work in a fast-paced environment
- Handle between 50-100 phone calls per day as a Customer Service Representative
- Proactive communication to customers and internal operations team through the entirety of the shipment
- Provide exceptional customer service to clients and sales via phone and email
- Perform data entry tasks accurately and efficiently
- Select the best routing option to ensure delivery requirements are met
- Track and trace shipments
- Handle and complete turnover from third shift operations team
- Handle any problems that arise during transit to ensure customer satisfaction (i.e. delays, mechanicals, etc.)
- Maintaining accurate records, notes
- Communicate directly with drivers
- Ability to work with and communicate cross-departmentally
- Create reports
- Multitasking: handling several shipments for a variety of accounts simultaneously without sacrificing service
The position will also be responsible for backing up other Customer Service / Project team members.
Experience
- Strong analytical skills to assess customer needs and provide appropriate solutions
- 1 – 2 years of relevant work experience preferred. SAP experience a plus
- Microsoft office knowledge required, specifically Outlook and Excel platforms
- Email management
